The Economics of the Pandemic and Social Protection in Latin America
“The Economics of the Pandemic and Social Protection in Latin America” is a group of experts that aims to exchange ideas and knowledge about the socio-economic impact of COVID-19 in the countries of the region. The group’s work supports governments in designing of responses that protect people’s health and livelihoods, and promote greater equity.
COVID-19 in Latin America
Coordinated by Nora Lustig from Tulane University, CEQ-COVID: Monitoring the Impact of Economic Measures and Social Protection in Latin America is a repository of public policies implemented by Latin American governments in response to COVID’s health, economic and social effects. The content is based on periodic reports from economists in each country.
The country coverage includes: Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Germany, Honduras, Italy, Mexico, Paraguay, Peru, United States, Uruguay, Venezuela.
